Fit Day

I’m doing well this week, running every day on the treadmill (because it’s so stinkin’ HOT!), and really watching my nutrition. I am using my old favorite website, www.fitday.com to track my food intake, and it really works well! It’s been an eye-opening week once again after I looked up my usual lunchtime meals (Jimmy John’s, Camille’s) and found out they had TONS more calories and fat than I ever expected!! I really need to be in the habit of looking up nutrition facts before I eat out. I am definitely enjoying the tool’s ability to tell you if you run X number of miles at X pace, you burned approximately Y calories and therefore can eat A, B, or C!! It motivates me to stay on the treadmill longer because they make warm cookies at the hotel that are sooo yummy!!

As an FYI, I had the best lunch yesterday; it's a box meal you get at the supermarket called South Beach Meals and I had the Southwestern Style Chicken wraps. It comes with wheat tortillas, chicken, cheese, salsa and a jello cup for dessert! Super easy, yummy, and only 240 calories for the whole thing. You gotta try it! They also make a few different variations that look good too. I'm going to get more of these for sure!

I registered for the Tour de Pain today, although I’m not completely sure I can run all of those races in 24 hours. Especially considering they moved the 1 mile sprint up to 3pm on Saturday (due to a Jags game) so it will be REALLY HOT!! Oh well, I have to at least try!

This weekend I’m planning a long run on Friday morning, probably 6 miles. I haven’t gone this distance yet, so it should be interesting. How is everyone else doing?
